Best & Flanagan Welcomes Elizabeth Drotning Hartwell

Best & Flanagan is pleased to announce that attorney Elizabeth Drotning Hartwell has joined the firm’s Family Law practice group.

A fierce advocate, Liz compassionately represents her clients in a wide variety of matters including dissolution, custody and parenting time, post-decree matters, child support, spousal maintenance, complex valuation issues, grandparent/third party custody, domestic abuse and harassment, parental relocation, domestic and international parental abduction, and appeals. Liz is trained in mediation and collaborative divorce, and has frequently worked as a Parenting Consultant and court-appointed neutral. She enjoys crafting creative solutions and is always prepared to advocate for her clients and their children both in and out of the courtroom.

Prior to joining Best & Flanagan, Liz was an attorney with Heimerl & Lammers, and practiced for over 11 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is a member of the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts and the U.S. Department of State Attorney Network, representing clients in international parental abduction matters under the Hague Convention. Liz currently serves on the University of St. Thomas Law Alumni Board as well as the Boards of Directors of Cantus and Lutheran Summer Music. She is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law and St. Olaf College.
