After more than five years of litigation, a Best & Flanagan team led by Amy Conners and Jen Olson successfully settled a class action filed on behalf of a class of retirees in Hennepin County Court. Our clients alleged that an independent life insurance agent associated with the defendants defrauded them, and that the defendants had an obligation to step in and stop the fraud.

The case settled after the Best & Flanagan team defeated two motions to dismiss and won an order certifying the class. In its order approving the settlement, the Court concluded that the settlement will provide substantial monetary relief to eligible class members.
