Standing with Our Community

Best & Flanagan has an enduring commitment to the communities in which we live and practice. At the moment, we are a community in crisis. As we take a stand against systemic injustices, we share our neighbors’ pain and grieve the death of George Floyd and the compounded losses of thriving businesses, peace and security.

We recognize that we have to be purposeful to achieve real and lasting change. To that end, the firm has made a gift today to the Lake Street Council’s “We Love Lake Street” fund in an effort to stand with our community members and invest in healing our city. The Lake Street Council “engages, serves, and advocates for the Lake Street business community in Minneapolis to ensure the vitality and prosperity of the commercial corridor.” The “We Love Lake Street” fund will directly support the many small businesses owned by immigrants and people of color along Lake Street as they work to rebuild their storefronts, reopen their businesses, and restore vibrancy to a crucially diverse neighborhood.

As a proud part of our community, we remain dedicated to the recovery effort on all fronts. We stand with our community with our eyes, arms, and hearts wide open.
