Best & Flanagan Update Regarding Coronavirus Planning

At Best & Flanagan, we focus daily on achieving dual goals of excellent, personalized client service and a positive and healthy firm culture.  In that spirit, we want to update you, our clients and friends, about our contingency planning relating to the Coronavirus pandemic.

As we know all of you are, we are taking active steps to prevent the spread of disease in our office and to protect our employees from exposure both here and outside of our office.  For now, our office is open and we are operating as usual with attorneys and staff based primarily here in downtown Minneapolis.  We have plans in place in the event that state or federal agencies issue public health advisories or directives affecting employers and businesses in Minnesota, or in the event that we identify a potential exposure affecting our team.  Those plans contemplate that our attorneys and top-notch staff will remain available, even if they are working remotely, to provide each of our clients with the personal and practical advice and advocacy that you have come to expect from us.  It is our intention to have any remote work plan be seamless for our clients, so that you will be able to reach each of us via email and telephone just as you would if we were in the office.

We sent an employment law advisory yesterday offering assistance to our employer clients as you make your own plans for managing through this crisis.  If you did not receive that advisory, you can find it here: Managing Coronavirus in the Workplace.  In addition to our employment law group, our business law, real estate, family law, litigation and trust and estate teams all stand ready to assist you with any special needs you have as this public health situation evolves.  We hope that you will call us if we can help with any of your own contingency planning or with your response to developments affecting your businesses, employees, customers, clients and families.

We are grateful to each of our clients for your confidence in us and for our work together thus far, whether we’ve worked with you for decades or we have just begun our representation.  We look forward to working with each of you, without significant interruption, in the weeks and months to come.
