Paralegal - Real Estate

Downtown Minneapolis law firm Best & Flanagan seeks to hire a Real Estate Paralegal to support our real estate transaction and litigation practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents for client property sales and real estate transactions.
  • Research, draft, review and file documents including purchase agreements, leases, subleases, mortgages, easements, title affidavits, and property descriptions.
  • Draft correspondence, summons and complaint, default motions and various other pleadings and motions for real estate litigation for attorney review.
  • Coordinate closing with all parties in the transaction, including the buyer, sellers, title insurance company, opposing counsel, and lender.
  • Prepare transfers/affidavits of transferees, closing documents, closing reports, and accounts.
  • Analyze title documents and surveys and prepare title objection letters for attorney review. 
  • Track billable time and enter it into the firm timekeeping system.


Qualifications and Skills

  • A highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely internally and with clients. 
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities, work flow and work assignments. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity standards. 
  • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience. 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
