Purpose of Position: To provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including, but not limited to, production of legal work, time keeping, billing, communications with clients, and management of attorney schedule, practice, and marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Assist with document review and document production
- Schedule appointments and maintain multiple calendars
- Interact regularly with clients. Serve as a liaison between client and attorney
- Maintain and manage client files and systems for electronic document and email management
- Knowledge of e-Filing process at county and federal levels
- Manage and organize case data
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Manage information and stay up to date on case developments and deadlines in multiple cases
- Prepare trial exhibits and notebooks for depositions, hearings and mediation
- Assist in preparation, gathering and organization of expert materials
- Timekeeping and billing

- Ability to maintain composure and manage stress in an environment that is often fast-paced with constantly changing deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, experts, witnesses, opposing counsel, co-counsel and court personnel
- Strong work ethic, flexible, dependable, accurate and detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to assess relative significance of tasks and problems to prioritize and to know when matter requires decision or guidance from assigned attorney
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work with others in a team setting
- Detail oriented, able to proofread and correct errors
- Experience with document management systems
- At least three years of experience in litigation and/or family law
