When I am not in the office you can usually find me on the lake (in the summer), or reading the latest addition to Amazon’s “beach read” list (all year long). I also enjoy trying out new recipes, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with my husband and daughter.
Megan is an experienced employment attorney who partners with employers to navigate complex workplace issues and maintain compliance with evolving state and federal laws. She provides practical, business-focused counsel on a wide range of employment matters, including compliance with the Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program, Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
In addition to day-to-day counseling, Megan drafts and revises employee handbooks, employment agreements, policies, and procedures tailored to each client’s industry, operational needs, and organizational culture. She works closely with employers to ensure that their policies and agreements are not only legally compliant but also aligned with their values and workforce dynamics.
Megan is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice and provides workplace mediations and as well as conducts thorough and impartial workplace investigations and has experience with investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace violence. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach and strives to deliver clear, defensible findings and practical recommendations.
Megan also has experience handling complex employment litigation matters in both state and federal courts, which informs her practical, risk-aware approach to counseling and compliance.
