I enjoy travel and diving deep into other cultural practices and traditions. I have studied at Oxford, taught fine arts in Italy, taught English in Costa Rica, worked in orphanages in Israel and Jordan, and the list goes on. As much as I have thought I was contributing to my destinations, each destination has, rather, contributed to who I am. I enjoy fitness and being outdoors, especially when it involves chasing my son and/or bonfires with my family. When I get time to myself, I am out with my friends either working out, reading philosophy, or enjoying good wine or beer.
I pride myself on making complicated legal issues approachable. I do my best to help my clients ask the right questions, often the ones they do not know to ask.
Elaine is an associate in the Business & Corporate Law and Private Wealth Planning practice groups, where she focuses on the important ways these areas intersect.
Her diverse background includes clerking in both civil and criminal court, giving her insight into the litigation issues that often arise within her practice. She has also worked in secured transactions representing banks that support small businesses, as well as advising on corporate governance, reorganizations, buy–sell agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and other matters common to closely-held companies. Elaine has guided clients through deals ranging from straightforward transactions to more complex business arrangements. Throughout her work, she helps clients consider the long‑term impact of their decisions, including planning for future estate needs and business succession.
Elaine also represents clients with estates of all sizes in their estate planning and administration. She assists with the initial drafting of wills and trusts, advises on wealth‑transfer strategies, and offers guidance on estate and gift tax considerations.
With a strong understanding of both corporate and wealth planning matters, Elaine is uniquely positioned to provide coordinated, thoughtful advice to business owners and individuals. She values partnering with clients to clarify their goals and to shape the legacy they hope to create.
