Thank you for adding my contact information. It's a great way for us to keep in touch.

Let's figure out how to put your puzzle together.

Dan serves as strategic partner to clients of all shapes and sizes, advising owners and executives on a range of issues from ordinary contract disputes to extraordinary, life-changing transactions. As a client-trained advisor who has the honor and privilege of working alongside successful entrepreneurs and executives in all kinds of complex and intense circumstances, Dan believes the trickiest puzzles are the most satisfying because they demand the kind of collaboration, creativity and determination that makes hard things possible.

In addition to professional puzzling, Dan serves on the boards of several local organizations, as an enthusiastic (if mediocre) batting practice pitcher and breakfast maker, and as the Chair of the Board of Best & Flanagan.

  • Representing buyers, sellers and other constituents in dozens of M&A transactions involving amounts ranging from a few hundred thousand to several hundred million dollars.
  • Listening attentively to and speaking candidly about a client's goals and objectives.
  • Designing and implementing various strategic initiatives to improve tax, operational and governance efficiency and facilitate transition planning.
  • Collaborating effectively and efficiently with other client advisors to achieve desired outcomes and ensure involvement of all the right constituents.
  • Detangling family and closely held shareholder matters with empathy and using emotional intelligence to understand the dynamics of both the business and the people behind the business.
