Former United States Attorney Thomas Heffelfinger of Best & Flanagan’s White Collar Criminal & Regulatory Defense Practice Will Be Among The Many Guest Speakers At The Mall of America On Monday September 12, 2011.

Sponsored by The National Security Forum at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and The Mall of America, this three-part symposium series entitled “Evolving Threats to the Globe: A Discussion with Counterterrorism Policymakers and Practitioners.”

This series will address many of the key counterterrorism issues that have emerged in the 10 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. The program will examine, in particular, the evolution and trajectory of contemporary terrorism threats and associated counterterrorism responses–at both the strategic and operational levels–from the perspectives of key local, national, and international policymakers and practitioners.

Program Schedule

  • 11:00am-2:00pm : Closed-door workshop covering key counterterrorism operational issues and best practices that is intended for Chief Security Officers, police, senior homeland security/emergency management personnel, and other key private and public sector leaders.   (Invitation Only)
  • 2:30pm-4:45pm : Roundtable discussion of major terrorism and counterterrorism issues with noted policymakers and practitioners . (Open to the Public)
  • 5:00pm-6:00pm : Keynote address. (Open to the Public)
  • Evening : Private reception and dinner with conference speakers and VIPs. (Invitation Only)
