Best & Flanagan is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Drotning Hartwell has been elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Composed of nearly 1,500 of the nation’s leading family law attorneys, Fellows of the Academy demonstrate unparalleled expertise, professionalism and ethical commitment to their clients in resolving what are often intensely emotional and complex family problems. They have helped improve the quality of family law practice throughout the country for attorneys and litigants alike.
Liz’s practice focuses on all aspects of family law matters, including dissolution, custody and parenting time, post-decree matters, child support, spousal maintenance, complex asset and valuation issues, grandparent/third party custody, parental relocation, and domestic and international parental abduction. She is also a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice and has frequently worked as a Parenting Consultant, custody evaluator, and court-appointed neutral. Liz is a regular speaker at family law programs, and currently serves as President of the University of St. Thomas School of Law Alumni Board.
