The family law court system and judges strive to make fair judgments and equitable rulings. However, not all verdicts are just and sometimes, mistakes are made. On such occasions, Best & Flanagan’s Family Law team is called upon to represent clients in all variety of family law appeals. Our mastery of both appellate argument and all applicable family laws and rules has made us both well-known and respected throughout the legal community.

In some cases, our client may be able to appeal a decision. In such instances, we work quickly to ensure that time sensitive deadlines are met in order for the appeal to remain viable. We also educate our clients on how the appeals process works, as well as potential costs and timing associated with such proceedings. Family law appeals are often complicated, and we take the time to evaluate the merits of the potential appeal at hand, as well as analyze the potential for success in court.

It has been our experience that there are circumstances where the trial court misapplied the law to a specific family law case, and the appellate process exists for the purpose of analyzing such misapplications. In the event the court decides that a case should be reopened or a decision overturned, our seasoned litigators navigate our clients through the appeals process.
