Barbara Callahan
joined Best & Flanagan in 1999 as a litigation paralegal
specializing in family law. Ms. Callahan has over 20 years of
experience in her area of expertise. She received her Bachelor
of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and her Paralegal
Certificate from Inver Hills Community College. She is a member
of the Minnesota Paralegal Association.
Catherine
Peterson joined the firm of Best & Flanagan in 1999 as
a member of our Family Law section. Ms. Peterson has
approximately 23 years of legal and tax experience.
Ms. Peterson received her paralegal training and certification
from the University of Minnesota. She is also a licensed
IRS enrolled agent, which enables her to prepare income tax
returns and represent clients in audits and appeals before
the IRS and requires her to maintain ongoing continuing education
in the area of income taxation. Ms. Peterson's strong
tax background is helpful in the family law area to determine
tax implications in family law situations. Other areas
of experience include Income Taxation, Estate Planning and
Small Business Administration.
