Lenor Scheffler is featured in the January 2004 Women's Business Minnesota magazine. 

The Minnesota American Indian Bar Association members have elected Lenor Scheffler president of the organization.  In honor of this achievement, the Minnesota Office of the Attorney General Mike Hatch presented Ms. Scheffler with a Certificate of Recognition of distinguished service and dedication to the State of Minnesota.

On March 21, 2003 Lenor Scheffler was appointed by Governor Tim Pawlenty to the Commission on Judicial Selection as an at-large attorney member. The important tasks of the Commission include soliciting judicial candidates, evaluating applicants and recommending finalists for district court and Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals vacancies.

Christenson have joined the firm's Real Estate and Commercial Lending practice as partners effective March 15, 2003.  Focusing on commercial lending, mortgage banking and real estate finance, development, purchase, sale and leasing, Messrs. Christenson and Paulson represent lenders, borrowers, developers, sellers and purchasers in all aspects of commercial business and real estate.

Mary Shearen, a partner in Estate Planning, is featured on the Minnesota Community Foundation web site. For more than fifty years, the Minnesota Community Foundation has facilitated investment in the future of Minnesota through its work as a community endowed public charity.

Congratulations to Daniel Kaplan who was inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame at Mounds Park Academy on September 22, 2002.  Daniel was part of MPA's first graduating class, and went on to major in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts.  He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law in 1993 and has been with Best & Flanagan since 1997 in the Business and Real Estate Law.

Lenor Scheffler was inducted into the Redwood Valley Hall of Fame in the category of Outstanding Alumni in May, 2002. Lenor is the Chair of the Native American Law Practice Group at Best and Flanagan and also Chief Judge of the Upper Sioux Community Tribal Court.
