Timothy A. Sullivan

Timothy A. Sullivan is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice area. His practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals, primarily in the areas of construction, commercial, employment, probate and real estate disputes. He primarily serves commercial and industrial contractors, owners and subcontractors. Tim also represents hospitals, physicians and clinics and has served as general counsel to LifeSource (the Upper Midwest Organ Procurement Organization) since its inception. He has worked on many bid disputes, and commercial and construction cases establishing new and helpful principles for his clients.

Tim’s significant cases include Rice v. Connolly, in which the Minnesota law authorizing off-track betting was found unconstitutional by the Minnesota Supreme Court, Glenwood Bridge v. City of Minneapolis, in which a contractor established a civil rights violation in the letting of public work resulting in an injunction issued by the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and WDSI v. Steele County, extending the right to seek data from the designers of public projects.

He is a fellow of the Litigation Council of America and is included in the Best Lawyers of America.  Tim has been named a “Super Lawyer” by Minnesota Law & Politics numerous times. He is a frequent lecturer on construction and health care topics.

In his free time, Tim enjoys curling, agate hunting, travel and activities with his wife and three sons.
