Best & Flanagan
Rebecca A. Chaffee is a member of the Family Law practice area. She works with and counsels parents, spouses, grandparents and other relatives to resolve their most difficult financial and personal issues. Rebecca’s approach is to help her client create a fair and dignified settlement. When settlement is not possible, she zealously and diligently advocates for her client through the litigation process.
Her cases include all family law matters; including child support, child custody, parenting time, grandparent visitation, spousal maintenance, marriage dissolutions, legal separations, lump-sum child support settlements, paternity actions, and adoptions. She frequently works on complex financial issues, including business valuations, complex property divisions and non-marital tracing. Rebecca also drafts premarital and post-marital agreements and cohabitation agreements to create protection for the assets and income of individuals. She is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.
Prior to practicing at Best & Flanagan LLP, Rebecca served as a law clerk for a Hennepin County District Court judge in family court.
