Leonard M. Fineday is an associate in Best & Flanagan’s Native American and Business Law section. Lenny handles matters in the areas of federal Indian law, tribal law, tax, tribal election representation, governance, gaming law, tribal financing and business law.
Lenny is a member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. He brings notable experience with tribal and municipal governments to Best & Flanagan, including terms as the executive director of the Leech Lake Band, as a member of the Cass Lake, Minn., City Council, and as director of human services for the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, where he oversaw programs and program licensing on six Minnesota reservations. His professional experience also includes service to the Leech Lake Band as special projects coordinator and as self-governance coordinator/administration team leader.
