Kristin L. Petersen is an associate in the firm’s business law section working with clients on a wide range of business and intellectual property issues, including trademark, copyright, business formation, and contract matters.
During law school, Kristin served as Editor-in-Chief of the Minnesota Journal of International Law. She also represented clients in family court through the law school’s domestic violence clinic and volunteered with a housing law organization dedicated to the preservation of affordable housing.
Prior to law school, Kristin worked as an editor and writer in the publishing industry, both at established companies and a start-up, independent press. As a managing editor, she developed a national series of guidebooks to restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, New Orleans, and Las Vegas. In addition, she coordinated creative writing, screen writing, and literature courses at the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program and advised a diverse range of students in developing professional careers as writers.
