David J. Zubke is a partner and Chair of the firm’s Business Law and Intellectual Property practice areas. He serves clients ranging in size from sole proprietorships to publicly traded corporations in a wide range of industries and at all levels of distribution, from international manufacturers to local retailers and service providers.
In addition to general corporate, contract and transactional matters, David’s practice centers on intellectual property development and protection (trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition), technology licensing and other transfers, nondisclosure and other employee agreements, and product distribution law (advertising and unfair competition, dealer, distributor and sales representative matters, franchising, and trade regulation law). David has written a series of guidebooks on basic intellectual property, advertising and marketing and franchise law, which are available on request.
David provides pro bono services to local nonprofit organizations and has served as an officer and board member of the Fairway Foundation, an organization that offers life skills and golf instruction to Twin cities area youth. He is also an Eagle Scout and volunteers with several Boy Scout organizations. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family and golf.
