David C. Murphy is a member of the firm’s Public Finance and Native American Law practice areas, with an emphasis on tax-exempt municipal finance. He practices in the area of public finance, including bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel, non-profit 501(c) organizations and Native American financing.
David represents underwriters, state, municipal and other governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, Native American tribes and credit providers for hospital, nursing home and other healthcare financings; charter school and higher education financings; multifamily housing financings, student loan financings, industrial development financings, and Native American governmental facilities and casinos.
David’s pro bono services include assisting in the formation of Hope Chest News, a non-profit corporation providing education and services related to heart and lung transplantation. In his free time, David volunteers for the Minnesota Medical Foundation, St. Paul Academy and Summit School. In addition, David enjoys spending time with his family, reading and playing golf.
