Daniel L. Grimsrud is a partner in the firm’s Business Law section. Dan works with individuals and closely-held businesses in a wide variety of industries, providing practical advice on a range of issues including choice of entity and formation, contract and regulatory matters, tax and transition planning, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Dan consults with non-profit clients of all shapes and sizes on a variety of governance and compliance issues.
Dan is also a member of the Native American Law section, and provides the firm’s Native American clients with advice on transactional and tax matters, ranging from the resolution of Tribal-state tax disputes to the organization, financing and structuring of Tribal economic development initiatives.
Minnesota Law & Politics has named Dan a “Rising Star” annually since 2006.
