Ashleigh M. Leitch


Ashleigh Leitch is a member of Best & Flanagan’s Litigation and Labor and Employment Law practice groups. Ashleigh represents individuals, public entities and municipalities, corporations and nonprofit corporations across a broad range of industries.

Ashleigh uses her knowledge of civil procedure, as well as business and corporate law, to handle matters from all practice groups in her general civil litigation practice. Ashleigh also works with the Labor & Employment team to assist clients with corporate compliance with state and federal employment regulations and to advise individuals of their legal rights in the workplace. She has also worked on internal investigations for nonprofit and corporate clients.

Representative Experience:

  • Successfully negotiated a settlement for a client in mediation
  • Successfully argued a case to the Court of Appeals; have drafted briefing for two other appellate cases
  • Member of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Justice Foundation (MJF)
  • Advise on and draft employment agreements (including non-compete agreements), severance agreements, and employee handbook provisions

During her time at the University of Minnesota Law School, Ashleigh had leadership position on the Journal of Law and Inequality and was a student director of the Child Advocacy Clinic. Prior to law school, Ashleigh interned at the White House and worked on local political campaigns.

Ashleigh provides pro bono legal services through the Advocates for Human Rights and the Volunteer Lawyers Network.
