Duane Paulson is a member of the firm's Real Estate Law and Commercial Real Estate Lending practice areas.   His practice focuses on real estate law, including finance, development, sale and acquisition; security instrument sales, purchases and servicing; and financial institution and mortgage lending investment regulations.   He represents financial institutions in the development and financing of major office and other real estate development projects, sales and purchases of portfolios of both commercial and residential loans, and participations and sales and purchases of loan servicing rights.

Duane has represented several major national financial institutions in the financing of a broad range of property types including retail, industrial, office, hotel, hospital, multi-family and others involving complex ownership and structures including leasehold, condominium, cooperative and time-share interests.   He represented a major national financial institution in land acquisition, tax increment and both construction and permanent loan financing, construction and leasing of a 22-story 500,000 square foot office building in a major metropolitan area.   He participated in an industry task force resulting in a major revision of the statutes governing the investments of life and casualty insurance companies.
