Ross Formell is a partner in the firm's Business Law practice area.   His main areas of concentration are debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities, taxation, banking, and general corporate law.   Ross serves small and medium-sized businesses that require a range of legal expertise.

Ross enjoys working through regulatory requirements and structuring complex transactions and documentation. His recent transactions include private securities offerings by small, publicly-held companies including PIPE transactions, a complex sale of a medium-sized, privately held, heavy industrial company, taking a private oil and gas company public through a reverse merger with a public shell and related private equity offerings, several sales and acquisitions of small businesses, representing a small community bank in connection with a work-out of a complex participation loan/letter of credit, and a change in control transaction by a medium-sized community bank. He has also represented a mid-market liability insurance company for many years in a variety of transactions, including acquisitions and securities offerings, helping the client achieve significant growth.

In his free time, Ross enjoys reading history and a range of outdoor activities, such as fishing, skiing, hunting, and boating.
